Find and remove duplicate files on your computer

Using your computer for some time may result in a pretty full Hard Disc. Here is a tool which we use to find and delete duplicate files and save Disc Space. It's a program called DupeLocater

You cab get the program by right-clicking here. Choose <Save target as>. If you save the program on your desktop it's always available.

Run the program by double-clicking it and you get:

Choose "Just run DupeLocater" and you get the main screen of DupeLocater.

Drag and drop the folders in which you want do search for duplicate files into the upper part (Search Paths). Then click <Search> to find the duplicates, duplicate files will be found, even when they have different file-names.
After finishing the search (it can take some time when you search many and/or large folders) you can choose <Delete files>. If you are not sure that all duplicates can be removed you can remove files manually (one by one, or - using CTRL - select more files to be removed)

We use this program quite some time now and we have not met any problems with it.
