Beansidhe (or Banshee)
It is the duty of the banshee or 'woman of the fairies' to fortell the death of an individual. Banshees are attached to particular families and their crys are heard when a family member is about to die. banshees are reported either to be a young woman of mournful aspect, or else to take the form of hags. They can bee seen in the vaccinate of the recently dead if one looks carefully. Taken from The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures (a 26th birthday present given to me ^_^)
