The Rusalka

The rusalka is a restless spirit of a young woman who has been murdered by drowning. She draws the life energy from living things around her in a desperate will to maintain her existence. This render was inspired by a novel titled "Rusalka" by C.J. Cherryh ( http://www.amazon.com/Rusalka-C-J-Cherryh/dp/0345369343/ref=pd_rhf_shvl_7 ). In it a young man is outcast from the city & seek refuge with a wizard who is trying to restore his daughter (a rusalka) to life. The young man finds himself falling in love with the Rusalka; with dangerous consequences.
